Transportation information: Vehicle supplied by employer, willing to travel, and public transportation is available
Work setting: Urban area, various locations, rural area, and construction site
Supervision: Bricklayers, and drywall installers and finishers

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Area of specialization: Driveways, industrial, commercial, and institutional, residential, and roofing
Equipment and machinery experience: Concrete vibrators, mortar and concrete mixers, jackhammers, nail guns, drills, and hand tools
Security and safety: Criminal record check and drug test

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and able to work in noisy environments
• The candidates should be aware of and able to handle potentially dangerous situations, and be prepared to work in dusty conditions
• The candidates should be capable of working in hot environments
• The candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment and be prepared for physically demanding tasks
• The candidates should possess strong manual dexterity and be comfortable with repetitive tasks
• The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and demonstrate attention to detail
• The candidates should have good hand-eye coordination and be capable of handling weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should demonstrate dependability, exhibit flexibility, and be reliable
• The candidates should be team players and hardworking

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transport construction materials, clean and lubricate cranes, and perform routine maintenance work
• The candidates should be able to erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades, mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, and assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
• The candidates should be able to assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, and pave and rake asphalt
• The candidates should be able to assist in demolishing buildings, clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
• The candidates should be able to tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction and direct traffic at or near construction sites
