Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates should have undergraduate degree in Business or Finance
Experience: Candidates should have minimum 5 years of working experience in Domestic and International credit risk analysis

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience within the Accounts Receivable department and hold a CCP or CICP Designation, or at least be enrolled in completing such designation
  • The candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and should demonstrate excellent planning and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
  • The candidates should have superior computer skills in Microsoft Excel and should strongly demonstrate Maple Leaf Leadership values
  • The candidates should possess excellent analysis skills and be detail-oriented individuals and SAP experience and demonstrate strong business acumen and critical thinking
  • The candidates should have the ability to publish report analysis, with all levels of the organization and strong numerical comprehension and adeptness at analyzing & interpreting data
  • The candidates should be able to communicate concisely both verbally & in written form and Exceptional ability to manage time, set priorities, and make decisions under pressure

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assess customers’ creditworthiness by performing detailed credit analysis, using sound judgment and analytical ability to minimize credit exposure/risk to the Company while allowing profitable expansion of sales
  • The candidates should be able to provide analytical support to the Senior Credit Analyst/Director Finance/AR Manager/Accounts Receivable Teams and senior management regarding customer accounts receivables analysis and able to provide financial order management support (order approvals) to Supply Chain and Sales and AR Teams to control credit exposure, effect timely payment, and minimize bad debt risk
  • The candidates should be able to analyze customer financial statements, collect trade/bank references, and assess credit risk to establish creditworthiness and credit limits and able to connect with credit associations and other business representatives to exchange credit information and respond to credit reference requests from the industry
  • The candidates should be able to provide customer service and develop relationships with internal/external customers and suppliers and able to maintain accurate credit files ensuring credit decisions/limits are approved as per credit policy
  • The candidates should be able to market, train, counsel, advise, and communicate credit department policy and procedures to company personnel and able to support sales and admin staff in MDSS process & completion of forms and provide support/approvals to Master Data Shared Service (MDSS) for customer setup
  • The candidates should be able to participate in major department projects and take an active role in cross-functional teams to assist in driving quality improvements, processes, and initiatives and support other management directives as prescribed
  • The candidates should be able to actively participate and communicate in the team-based work groups that make up the Credit Department and able to liaise with Insurer on claim/invoice submissions & credit approval requests and follow compliance guidelines, providing testing samples to C3 & Internal Audit requests
  • The candidates should be able to assist in developing & maintaining sound, acceptable credit policies & standard operating procedures, including evaluating customer financials and setting and changing credit lines/limits, third-party collection
  • The candidates should be able to work closely with manager and director to respond to credit and collection concerns with existing and potential clients and able to refer/coordinate delinquency accounts identified by AR administrator/Manager to the collection agency with approval from the Director and provide updates as necessary
  • The candidates should be able to act as the primary contact, ensuring professional relationships are established with third-party collection agencies, credit reporting agencies, and legal consultants (DNB, Canada Legal, EDC & Coface)
  • The candidates should be able to complete statement of claim forms for any bankrupt accounts and maintain bad debt and bad debt recovery records, maintaining by AR/IFRS provisions and able to manage all invoicing for these agencies/AR department and get appropriate approvals from management, including new PO creation
  • The candidates should be able to manage order release and review customer credit limits following company guidelines and support Collections process for International accounts and other portfolios as required and able to maintain credit risk within corporate standards and perform Annual Credit Reviews per Corporate Policy & Internal Audit Requirements
  • The candidates should be able to achieve a 90% or better pass rate for mandatory C3 Compliance testing and support DSO improvement and able to provide support to external & internal customers
