Salary: $17.44 to $18.50 hourly (To be negotiated) for 45 to 65 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Leduc, AB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Rural area and Staff accommodation available
Supervision: 1 to 2 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work outdoors, be comfortable in environments with odours, and have experience or be able to handle dairy-related tasks
  • The candidates should be familiar with grain, oil, and forage crop work and capable of working in all weather conditions

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to handle animals, monitor their health, oversee the calving process, and prepare cattle for exhibition while tracking feed inventory
  • The candidates should be able to perform weeding, fertilize and spray crops, harvest efficiently, feed and tend to animals, and detect diseases in crops, livestock, and poultry
  • The candidates should be able to clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens, operate and maintain farm machinery, and keep work records and daily progress reports
