University Neighbourhoods Association based in Vancouver, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Day camp leader. University Neighbourhoods Association fosters vibrant community living for residents in proximity to the esteemed University of British Columbia (UBC). Dedicated to enhancing quality of life, UNA provides an array of amenities and services tailored to the diverse needs of its residents, including recreational facilities, green spaces, and community events. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Job Description:

Position: Day camp leader
No of Vacancies: 2
Salary: $20.00 hourly for 15 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Part time
Location: 3335 Webber Ln, Vancouver, BC V6T 1W5, Canada
Shifts: Day, 15:00 to 18:00

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check and Vulnerable sector check

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be dependable, efficient in interpersonal skills, and have excellent oral communication
  • The candidates should demonstrate initiative and be reliable, as well as being a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs, as well as instructing groups in such programs
