Salary: $18.52 to $20.98 hourly (To be negotiated) for 37.5 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time
Location: Québec, QC
Shifts: Day, Morning, 08:00 to 16:00
Target audience: Children
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Emergency Child Care First Aid And CPR, Food Allergy And Anaphylaxis Training, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks, perform physically demanding tasks and work in a combination of sitting, standing and walking
- The candidates should be able to bend, crouch and kneel
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate punctuality, dependability, and efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should be flexible, possess interpersonal awareness, and exercise good judgment

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assess the children’s development in order to prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs, bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers and develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
- The candidates should be able to maintain daycare equipment, synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate the information to the parents and lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest
- The candidates should be able to encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity, engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts and guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
- The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor, discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings and establish guidelines for behaviour
- The candidates should be able to attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children and plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
