Langley Freight Lines operates as part of the Chambers Transportation Group. LFL provides a variety of freight services, including the transportation of aggregates, chemicals, dry bulk commodities, forest products, petroleum, and intermodal rail/truck transfers. Their diverse fleet includes Super Train flat decks, tautliner curtain siders, pneumatic bulkers, fuel trailers, end and side dumps, and live floors. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports, bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, and trip reports
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Communication systems experience: Citizens band (CB) radio, operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment, and trip recorder (on-board computer)
Equipment and machinery experience: Tractor-trailer B train
Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone, hard hat, and steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Air Brakes Endorsement, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, and Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have attention to detail, be capable of handling heavy loads, and be willing to work overtime when required
- The candidates should be able to work in physically demanding conditions, perform repetitive tasks, and be comfortable sitting for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, have excellent oral and written communication skills, exhibit flexibility, and demonstrate judgment
- The candidates should be organized, demonstrate reliability, and be team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should have mountain driving expertise, demonstrate professionalism in customer service, and be able to drive lighter, special purpose trucks
- The candidates should be able to load and unload goods, operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, and perform brake adjustments
- The candidates should be able to perform emergency roadside repairs, perform preventive maintenance, receive and relay information to central dispatch, and tarp to ensure the safety and security of cargo
