Salary: $24.00 to $28.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 to 70 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports, dangerous goods occurrence reports, driver logbook, inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), trip reports
Type of trucking and equipment: Liquid bulk
Credentials: AZ class license and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, driver’s validity license check, driving record check (abstract)

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate professionalism in customer service
  • The candidates should be able to load and unload goods
  • The candidates should be able to oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • The candidates should be able to pay and receive payments for goods
  • The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
  • The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • The candidates should be able to record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • The candidates should be able to transport and handle dangerous goods
