Job Description:

Salary: $18.00 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: St. Albert, AB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Credentials: Child development assistant (ECE level 1)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate dependability in their role and have excellent oral communication abilities
  • The candidates should demonstrate excellent written communication skills and exhibit flexibility in their approach to work
  • The candidates should be reliable in meeting job requirements and be a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • The candidates should be able to engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • The candidates should be able to submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • The candidates should be able to discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
