Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Experience with special needs children: Children with a mental health disability and Children with behavioural issues
Credentials: First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Child Abuse Registry check, Immunization records, Tuberculosis test, and Vulnerable sector check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should not be smokers, be comfortable working in an air-conditioned environment, and be prepared for repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be physically fit for demanding tasks, should have attention to details, and handle a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be dependability, reliable, judgment, flexibility
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication skills
- The candidates should have excellent written communication skills
- The candidates should have interpersonal awareness and be a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children effectively
- The candidates should be able to lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest engagingly, order supplies and equipment for the child-care program promptly, and assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records accurately
- The candidates should be able to provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity appropriately
- The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits with patience and care
- The candidates should be able to maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties dutifully
- The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors diligently
- The candidates should have knowledge of the Day Nurseries Act and licensing regulations
- The candidates should be able to establish guidelines for behavior effectively
- The candidates should be able to assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members appropriately
- The candidates should be able to attend staff meetings to discuss the progress and problems of children regularly
- The candidates should be able to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children cordially
- The candidates should be able to plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children meticulously
