Salary: $23.00 to $29.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
Security and safety: Basic security clearance, criminal record check, and vulnerable sector check

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assess the children’s development to prepare tailored learning plans and develop and implement child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth while supervising staff, trainees, or volunteers
  • The candidates should be able to synthesize children’s overall situations, communicate with parents, lead activities such as storytelling and outings, and encourage creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • The candidates should be able to guide children in proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, observe for learning or behavioural issues and prepare reports, discuss progress at staff meetings, and ensure compliance with licensing regulations
  • The candidates should be able to establish behaviour guidelines, collaborate with co-workers and community service providers, plan environments that ensure children’s health and well-being, and supervise activities of early childhood educators and assistants
