Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials:Â Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
Security and safety:Â Criminal record check, Child Abuse Registry check, and Medical exam
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to handle repetitive tasks with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to perform a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills and excellent oral communication
- The candidates should be reliable and a strong team player
- The candidates should adhere to values and ethics
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development, and lead activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
- The candidates should be able to encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity, guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, and observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems
- The candidates should be able to prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors, discuss children’s progress and problems at staff meetings, and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers
- The candidates should be able to plan and maintain an environment that protects children’s health, security, and well-being, and supervise and coordinate activities of early childhood educators and assistants
