Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials:Â Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be punctual, dependable, flexible, reliable, and judgmental
- The candidates should have interpersonal awareness, values and ethics, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children, storytelling, lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest
- The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records, engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
- The candidates should be able to provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity, guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
- The candidates should be able to prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
- The candidates should be able to attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children, plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
