Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smokers
- The candidates should be familiar with repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be physically capable of handling demanding tasks
- The candidates should have a strong attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to adapt to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be able to perform tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The candidates should possess manual dexterity

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers and develop and implement child-care programs supporting their overall development
- The candidates should engage in storytelling, supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and lead activities such as telling stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
- The candidates should be able to order supplies and equipment, support early childhood educators in program implementation, and assist in record-keeping
- The candidates should provide opportunities for creative expression through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
- The candidates should be able to guide children in developing proper habits, maintain daycare equipment, and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties
- The candidates should be able to prepare snacks, observe children for signs of potential issues, and submit written observations to educators or supervisors
- The candidates should be able to discuss progress and problems at staff meetings, have knowledge of licensing regulations, and assess children’s abilities and needs
- The candidates should be able to establish collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers and plan and maintain a secure environment for children
- The candidates should be able to organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours
- The candidates should be able to supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
