Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Children
Credentials: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Basic security clearance, Medical exam, and Vulnerable sector check

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, as well as assist in housekeeping and cooking duties
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, including engaging in storytelling and leading activities
- The candidates should be able to order supplies, maintain daycare equipment, and arrange rooms for lunch and rest periods
- The candidates should be able to support early childhood educators in carrying out programs, maintain collaborative relationships, and plan activities for school-age children
- The candidates should be able to engage children in activities, including storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts, while guiding their development of proper habits
- The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of potential issues, assess abilities, interests, and needs, and discuss progress or problems with parents and staff members
- The candidates should be able to assist in keeping records, submit written observations, and attend staff meetings to discuss children’s progress and problems
- The candidates should have knowledge of the Day Nurseries Act and establish guidelines for behavior, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
- The candidates should be able to supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants, ensuring the well-being of children
