Shifts: Day
Target audience: Elderly

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Asset languages: Tagalog
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Credentials: Personal Support Worker Certificate, CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Reference required

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as required, adapting to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and handling heavy loads
• The candidates should be comfortable walking during their duties and able to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to administer medications, plan therapeutic diets and menus, and provide companionship
• The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and shop for food and household supplies
• The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals, cook, and suggest home care instructions and provide information about techniques
