Supervision: 1 to 2 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 year to less than 3 years
Area of specialization: Agricultural livestock service and Beef cattle
Equipment and machinery experience: Feeding and watering system and Tractor

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be experienced in beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots, and have experience in sheep farming
• The candidates should be comfortable working in dusty and noisy environments with odors and able to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment
• The candidates should be able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines, and should be physically fit for demanding tasks and able to handle a large workload
• The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be a team player

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to handle animals, monitor animal health, and assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures
• The candidates should be able to coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting laborers, and ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
• The candidates should be able to formulate feeding programs, maintain livestock performance records, and maintain quality control and production records
• The candidates should be able to recognize and treat certain livestock health problems, maintain work records and logs, and operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• The candidates should be able to perform general farm duties
