Type of crops: Cherries, Apples, Vineyard, Grapes
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Equipment and machinery experience: Fertilizer applicator, Farm truck, Sprayer or duster
Automated systems experience: Automated irrigation system
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to do organic farming, viticulture
- The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to work in wet/damp area, noisy area, outdoors, hot area, and dusty area
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be organized, flexible, reliable, and judgmental
- The candidates should have values and ethics, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to mix fertilizer, budding trees, mixing, clipping
- The candidates should be able to maintain and manage growth of vines, vine canopy and grapes, suckering, weeding
- The candidates should be able to shoot positioning, plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
- The candidates should be able to fertilize and spray crops, harvest crops
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- The candidates should be able to pick row and orchard crops
- The candidates should be able to clean work area
