Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, as well as harvest them
- The candidates should be able to feed and tend animals, including milking cows and cleaning stables, barns, barnyards, and pens
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- The candidates should be able to detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry, and examine produce for quality, preparing it for the market
- The candidates should be able to write daily basic progress reports and set/monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops
