Shifts: Early Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence, Public transportation is not available
Type of product: Vegetables, Mushrooms
Type of crops: Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflowers, Cherries, Cucumbers, Garlic, Melons, Strawberries, Tomatoes
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Equipment and machinery experience: Tractor
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Medical exam
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be physically demanding
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle weight from 9 kg (20 lbs) to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be flexible, should have efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to do budding trees, greenhouse cleaning
- The candidates should be able to do hand harvesting vegetables
- The candidates should be able to do lowering
- The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
- The candidates should be able to do vegetable culling, and harvest crops
- The candidates should be able to examine produce for quality and prepare for market, and sort and pack fruits and vegetables
