Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a High School Diploma
Experience: Candidates should have Five or more years of experience in field installation services

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks, and lifts to position machinery and parts during installation, setup, and repair  and a strong mechanical aptitude
  • The candidates should be able to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures and be comfortable working at heights
  • The candidates should have skills in supervising project teams and managing all on-site project activities, scheduling, and reporting
  • The candidates should be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds continuously, meet scheduled deadlines and be available for frequent travel for extended periods

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess GED, a Millwright certification, safety certifications for supervisors, welding certifications, aerial lift licenses, forklift licenses, and First Aid/AED licenses
  • The candidates should have experience in sheet metal fabrication, equipment installation in the agriculture and food industry, and equipment rigging and previous experience working in heavy industrial and construction environments
  • The candidates should have experience operating forklifts, aerial lifts, and other heavy equipment and verifiable experience supervising project team members and managing on-site project activities, scheduling, and reporting
  • The candidates should have experience using reporting platforms such as timekeeping systems for employee time approval, experience maintaining an orderly, clean, and safe worksite, maintain and follow CVOR regulations applicable to AGI and strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to interact professionally with employees and clients
  • The candidates should have a commitment to safety and environmental standards and knowledge of construction site best practices and safety procedures

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to ensure compliance by the workforce or subcontractors with all standards, procedures, and contractual commitments within the bounds of applicable policies, plan, coordinate, and direct the overall activities of the equipment installation teams, including AGI companies and third-party trades
  • The candidates should be able to schedule and coordinate projects to control job costs, ensuring profitability, timely completion, and maximum customer satisfaction,  communicate job information to the appropriate personnel to allow for effective planning and execution of project requirements
  • The candidates should be able to create a positive work environment necessary for building a cohesive team, lead and control skilled labor and work crews engaged in equipment installation activities, including rigging, piping, welding, demolition, and installation
  • The candidates should be able to optimize resources such as manpower, equipment, and materials to ensure efficient and timely project completion, demonstrate good organizational skills by following policies, procedures, and work practices while identifying and implementing improvements
  • The candidates should be able to communicate daily with AGI and/or the client’s Project Manager through job completion, conduct daily job hazard analysis for each project and ensure all customer-required permits are completed before starting work
  • The candidates should be able to conduct daily toolbox meetings with the workforce, including all subcontractors, develop a high-performing team by providing sufficient knowledge, skills, training, and information to achieve peak performance and continuous improvement
  • The candidates should be able to invest time with AGI management and the schedule manager on a weekly basis to assess workload, manpower needs, issues, and job status, receive and review project specifications and plan projects with AGI management and the installation company’s Lead Field Installer
  • The candidates should be able to communicate job status and changes with AGI management and subcontractors in a clear and professional manner, follow up with installers to ensure that plans are properly executed and the best crews are assigned to each job, communicate the scope of work to installers effectively
  • The candidates should be able to attend job site meetings to report on-time project completion or delays, receive job change orders and inform the appropriate parties of modifications, address and troubleshoot issues that arise during the installation process
  • The candidates should be able to follow defined installation procedures for vendor equipment according to company policies, applicable building codes, and manufacturer instructions facilitate employee safety by ensuring procedures are properly followed with a goal of zero accidents per calendar year and maintain, review, and stay updated on the latest industry equipment, knowledge, and requirements and ensure all paperwork is properly completed, including site work permits, daily reports, and timecards
