Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to perform physical tasks such as a lot of lifting and carrying
  • The candidate should be able to stand/walk for 8 hours and also use lift equipment
  • The candidate should be able to lift and/or carry merchandise items, as required, on a regular, frequent and unassisted basis. Merchandise items may vary in weight from “light” to “heavy” and also lift and turn repeatedly throughout the shift
  • The candidate should be able to lift and twist above the shoulder, from the floor to shoulder, and floor to waist and also have the ability to go up and down a ladder and stairs while carrying merchandise
  • The candidate should be able to walk and carry things at the same time and push/pull, as required

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work as a member of the Logistics Fill Team
  • The candidate should have the ability to follow direction and coaching and also have basic math and computer skills
  • The candidate should have skills such as aptitude with computer technology / locating systems and also have aptitude for online learning
  • The candidate having the ability to work in other areas of the store is an asset
  • The candidate should have strong belief in the Canadian Tire Values of honesty, integrity, and respect and also have excellent organizational and technology skills
  • The candidate should have the ability to work in a team environment that provides assistance and support to co-workers to achieve common goals and also be a results-oriented individual
  • The candidate should have effective written and oral communication skills and also have the ability to complete detail oriented retail tasks according to instructions and to demonstrate responsibility for outcomes
  • The candidate should have the ability to resolve retail and/or customer issues and also have the ability to adapt and cope with challenging and changing situations
  • The candidate should have a positive attitude, punctuality, and solid work ethic

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to ensure that products are transported from the warehouse to the sales floor in an efficient manner
  • The candidate should be able to perform customer service responsibilities such as maintaining housekeeping disciplines in the warehouse and sales floor in order to facilitate location of products by all staff and also responding to and handling customer and staff inquiries, requests, and concerns in a timely manner
  • The candidate should be able to perform customer service responsibilities such as locate products in the warehouse and also guide customers to the location of requested items
  • The candidate should be able to perform operations responsibilities such as operating computers and scanning devices for tracking inventory and entering all relevant coding in Canadian Tire systems and also keeping up to date with in-store promotions, in-store deals and product locations
  • The candidate should be able to perform operations responsibilities such as stock shelves and merchandise display areas neatly with correct merchandise and also secure heavy display items
  • The candidate should be able to perform operations responsibilities such as maintaining inventory accuracy and identifies/reports low stock levels (e.g., hole check and bin cap analysis) and also maintaining merchandise on the retail floor and ensuring that retail basics are executed efficiently (labeling, product facing, cleaning aisles and display areas etc.)
  • The candidate should be able to perform operations responsibilities such as ensuring that product and overstock is placed in the appropriate locations and also removing stock belonging to a different location and replacing damaged or expired items when necessary
  • The candidate should be able to perform operations responsibilities such as reporting stolen and damaged goods to Management and also assisting in pricing and verifying price labels as needed.
  • The candidate should be able to perform operations responsibilities such as assisting in organizing warehouses as needed and also readily dispose of shipping boxes, trash, etc
  • The candidate should be able to perform operations responsibilities such as completing necessary paperwork on a daily basis and also complying with company, store, department, and warehouse policies
  • The candidate should be able to perform operations responsibilities such as abiding by all health and safety programs and regulations. Reports any observed or potential hazards immediately and also using professional language and maintains a professional appearance (e.g., uniform, hygiene, grooming and name tag) when interacting with others
  • The candidate should be able to complete other tasks, as required
