Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable with tasks that involve bending, crouching, and kneeling, as required by certain job responsibilities
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered, and measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
- The candidates should be able to measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors, and measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings
- The candidates should be able to prepare and install hardwood floors, inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, and estimate costs and materials
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, prepare floors for installations, and remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
- The candidates should be able to install carpeting on walls or other surfaces
