Salary: $17.00 to $20.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 44 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time
Location: Sudbury, ON
Shifts: Evening, Weekend, Morning, 11:00 to 19:00
Transportation information: Own transportation
Work setting: Restaurant

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic cash register and point of sale system 
Credentials: Smart Serve and Safe Food Handling certificate

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable standing for extended periods and proficient in weight handling, up to 9 kg (20 lbs

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication skills, demonstrate flexibility, and show initiative
  • The candidates should be organized, reliable, and a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should ensure they are of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages, address customers’ complaints or concerns, and present bills and accept payment.
  • The candidates should describe menu items and daily specials, enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, and advise on menu selections
  • The candidates should clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, describe and advise on wine selection, greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages
  • The candidates should serve food and beverages, take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff, assist clients/guests with special needs, and provide customer service
