Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Computer and technology knowledge:Â Point of sale systemÂ
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle weight up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
- The candidates should be able to work in noisy area, in odours, and in hot area
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be client focus, organized, initiative, flexible, and reliable
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages
- The candidates should be able to present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings
- The candidates should be able to describe menu items including daily specials for customers, enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, advise on menu selections, balance cash and record sales, clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
- The candidates should be able to greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages, serve food and beverages, take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff
- The candidates should be able to provide customer service
