Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Type of crops: Apples, Cherries, Melons, Strawberries, Tomatoes
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to work in tight deadlines
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination and distinguish between colours
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads and sound discrimination
- The candidates should be able to work in wet/damp area, in noisy area, in odours, in outdoors, in hot area, in dusty area, in cold/refrigerated area, in other vegetables and melon farming (except potato), and in fruit and vegetable combination farming
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to do cleaning crop fruit trees training, grading, hand harvesting vegetables, and hoeing crops
- The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate and irrigate crops, stone and/or wood picking, tying, weeding
- The candidates should be able to harvest crops, write daily basic progress reports
