Salary: $16.80 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Aldergrove, BC
Work setting: Room and board provided
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be engaged in fruit and vegetable combination farming and comfortable working outdoors, even in dusty, hot, or noisy environments
- The candidates should be physically fit for demanding tasks, capable of handling repetitive tasks, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should have the ability to distinguish between colors, stand for extended periods, and perform bending, crouching, and kneeling tasks comfortably
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to apply the technique of hoeing between the rows and hand-harvest vegetables
- The candidates should be able to clean the crops and divide freshly harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots
- The candidates should be able to mix fertilizer and assist in harvesting crops as needed
