Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Install reinforcing steel
Construction specialization: Residential, Poured concrete
Equipment and machinery experience: Bobcats, Concrete vibrators, Power-driven floats, Reciprocating saws, Circular saws, Concrete saws, Mortar and concrete mixers, Grinding machine, Jackhammers, Air compressors, Air guns, Nail guns, Drills, Trampers (Jumping Jack), Small front end loaders, Chain saw, Compactor, Sledgehammer, Hand tools
Own tools/equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Cellular phone

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and perform physically demanding tasks

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to load, unload and transport construction materials, read blueprints to determine work requirements, and erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades
• The candidates should be able to mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs, and level earth to fine grade specifications
• The candidates should be able to assist in demolishing buildings, clean and pile salvaged materials, and perform routine maintenance work
• The candidates should be able to remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, and direct traffic at or near construction sites
• The candidates should be able to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems, and weed
