Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience or interest in livestock combination farming, sheep farming, and livestock farming.
- The candidates should have experience or interest in other miscellaneous crop farming, potato, and vegetable farming.
- The candidates should be comfortable with odors associated with livestock
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be organized, team players, and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should exercise good judgment in their roles as organized, team-oriented individuals with efficient interpersonal skills
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform animal grooming activities, feed and tend animals, and clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens
- The candidates should be able to fertilize and spray crops, harvest crops, and provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, or harvesting
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, set and monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops, and coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting laborers
- The candidates should be able to track and report on current feed inventory, maintain livestock performance records, and maintain quality control and production records
- The candidates should be able to assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures, supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs, and detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry
- The candidates should be able to write daily basic progress reports, maintain work records and logs, and perform general farm duties
