Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience in fruit and vegetable combination farming and be comfortable working at heights
- The candidates should be able to work in hot conditions and in noisy environments
- The candidates should be able to work in cold or refrigerated settings and be non-smoking
- The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and prepared for repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads and be capable of meeting tight deadlines
- The candidates should be able to handle physically demanding work and possess good hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should have the ability to distinguish between colors and demonstrate attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods, perform tasks requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling, and walk for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility and exhibit reliability
- The candidates should be team players and uphold values and ethics
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to apply fertilizers, clean the crops, and divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots
- The candidates should be able to perform greenhouse cleaning, guide growing shoots into optimal development positions, and hand harvest vegetables
- The candidates should be able to level earth to fine grade specifications, pack fruits and vegetables, and plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
- The candidates should be able to remove manually all suckers and water sprouts, sort fruits and vegetables, and tie and secure plants
- The candidates should be able to clean work area, fertilize and spray crops, and harvest crops
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings, and spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides
- The candidates should be able to report signs of insect or disease damage, pot and re-pot plants, and plant bulbs and seeds
- The candidates should be able to perform general farm duties, operate climate controls, and dig up wrapping root balls of trees and shrubs
- The candidates should be able to assist in grafting activities and cut horticultural crops
