Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and machinery experience: Combine harvester, Farm truck, Fertilizer applicator, Lift truck, Loader, Manure spreader, Planting equipment, Sprayer or duster, Tractor
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be experienced in other miscellaneous crop farming activities and comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, including wet/damp, noisy, dusty, hot, and cold/refrigerated environments
- The candidates should be capable of thriving in a fast-paced work environment, working under pressure, and meeting tight deadlines
- The candidates should be accustomed to repetitive tasks associated with crop farming, skilled at handling heavy loads, and physically fit to meet the demands of the job
- The candidates should be detail-oriented with a keen attention to detail, comfortable standing for extended periods, proficient in walking as part of the job requirements, and able to perform bending, crouching, and kneeling as necessary
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be highly organized and possess strong organizational skills
- The candidates should be effective team players, capable of collaborating seamlessly with others
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to grade, clean greenhouses, and operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate, irrigate crops, sucker plants, and weed
- The candidates should be able to harvest crops
