Salary: $17.00 to $19.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Chilliwack, BC
Shifts: Day
Work setting: Room and board provided and Various locations
Type of crops: Blueberries, cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, raspberries, strawberries, sweet corn, and tomatoes
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be experienced in grading and skilled in hand harvesting vegetables
- The candidates should have expertise in mixing fertilizer and be capable of planting, cultivating, and irrigating crops
- The candidates should proficiently handle vegetable culling and be proficient in fertilizing and spraying crops
- The candidates should be experienced in harvesting crops and be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- The candidates should be skilled in detecting disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry
