Salary: $17.00 to $18.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 48 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Errington, BC
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Type of crops: Carrots, Field berries, Raspberries, Strawberries, Sweet corn, Berries, Vegetables
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Equipment and machinery experience: Farm truck, Tractor, and Hand tools
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience in corn farming and be familiar with fruit and vegetable combination farming
- The candidates should have knowledge of other miscellaneous crop farming techniques and be comfortable working in dusty conditions
- The candidates should be able to work in hot environments
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to hand harvest vegetables, perform vegetable culling, and harvest crops
- The candidates should be able to sort and pack fruits and vegetables, examine produce for quality, and prepare for the market
- The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce, livestock, and poultry
