Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be experienced in fruit and vegetable combination farming and comfortable working outdoors
- The candidates should be able to work in wet or damp conditions, dusty environments, hot conditions, and noisy environments
- The candidates should also be able to work in cold or refrigerated conditions
- The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and prepared for repetitive tasks, capable of handling heavy loads, and able to meet tight deadlines
- The candidates should be able to handle physically demanding work, have attention to detail, and be able to stand for extended periods, as well as bend, crouch, and kneel as required
- The candidates should be able to handle weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility, be organized, and be team players
- The candidates should also be quick learners
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to clean the crops, grade vegetables and fruits into different grades based on size, shape, color, and volume to fetch a high price in the market, and hand harvest vegetables
- The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, weed, and harvest crops
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, and examine products for quality and their readiness for the market
