Kool Breeze Farms based in Summerside, PE is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of General Labourer-Farm. Kool Breeze Farms can be termed as a local, family-owned garden centre and farm market, with seeds to trees and everything in between. We are also known to feature a Christmas Store with decor and gifts to brighten the winter season. We are known for our eggs and sourced food. We are also known for our outdoor space. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Morning
Work Site Environment: Chicken farming, Floriculture production, Layer poultry farming, Outdoors, Wet/damp, Noisy, Odours, Dusty, Hot, Cold/refrigerated
Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset, training will be provided
Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses: Pesticide Applicator’s License
Type of Crops: Seed corn, Sweet corn
Equipment and Machinery Experience: Fertilizer applicator, Manure spreader, Planting equipment, Sprayer or duster, Tractor, Forklift
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and perform repetitive tasks
- The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads and pay attention to detail
- The candidate should be able to work with hand-eye coordination
- The candidate should be physically demanding and a combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should have an efficient interpersonal skills and work in a flexible environment
- The candidate should be a team player and be someone who can be relied on
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to perform tasks such as Cleaning crop, Greenhouse cleaning, Hand harvesting vegetables, Mixing fertilizer, Weeding, Fertilize and spray crops, Harvest crops, Mix and prepare soils and Clean work area
