Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset 

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should have experience in fruit and vegetable combination farming and be comfortable working at heights
• The candidates should be able to work in hot environments, noisy conditions, and cold or refrigerated environments
• The candidates should be non-smokers and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, prepared for repetitive tasks, and capable of handling heavy loads
• The candidates should be able to meet tight deadlines and be physically fit to meet demanding tasks, with hand-eye coordination skills and the ability to distinguish between colors
• The candidates should have strong attention to detail, be able to stand for extended periods, and perform bending, crouching, and kneeling as necessary, as well as capable of walking as part of their duties and handling weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in their approach to tasks and be reliable in fulfilling their responsibilities
• The candidates should be effective team players and uphold values and ethics in their work

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to apply fertilizers, clean the crops, and divide freshly harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots
• The candidates should be able to perform greenhouse cleaning, guide growing shoots into optimal development positions, and hand harvest vegetables
• The candidates should be able to level earth to fine grade specifications, pack fruits and vegetables, and plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
• The candidates should be able to remove manually all suckers and water sprouts, sort fruits and vegetables, and tie and secure plants
• The candidates should be able to clean the work area, fertilize and spray crops, and harvest crops
• The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings, and spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides
• The candidates should be able to report signs of insect or disease damage, pot and re-pot plants, and plant bulbs and seeds
• The candidates should be able to perform general farm duties, operate climate controls, and dig up wrapping root balls of trees and shrubs
• The candidates should be able to assist in grafting activities and cut horticultural crops
