Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Equipment and machinery experience: Farm truck, Forklift, Tractor, Vegetable harvester, Planting equipment, Tillage equipment
Automated system experience: Automated environmental control equipment
Own tools/equipment: gloves, steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Courses, Certificates, Memberships, Licenses, First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should possess physical endurance and manual dexterity with meticulous attention to detail
- The candidates should be prepared for overtime when required, and comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking during work
- The candidates should be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- The candidates should have experience in other miscellaneous crop farming, particularly with a focus on potato and vegetable cultivation

- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and good judgment
- The candidates should be organized, reliable, and demonstrate strong values and ethics as team players
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position

Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to clear fields of wood and stones efficiently to prepare the land for cultivation
- The candidate should be able to divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots accurately according to quality standards
- The candidate should be able to grade vegetables and fruits into different grades based on size, shape, color, and volume to ensure they fetch a high price in the market
- The candidate should be able to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops effectively to promote healthy growth and maximize yield
- The candidate should be able to perform seed cutting and weeding tasks to maintain the health and quality of crops
- The candidate should be able to write daily basic progress reports to document activities and monitor farm operations
- The candidate should be able to maintain a clean work area to ensure a safe and organized working environment
- The candidate should be able to fertilize and spray crops appropriately to enhance their growth and protect them from pests and diseases
- The candidate should be able to sort and pack fruits and vegetables accurately to prepare them for market distribution
- The candidate should be able to harvest crops efficiently while ensuring product quality and minimizing waste
- The candidate should be able to load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, livestock, and poultry safely and effectively
- The candidate should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to support farming operations
- The candidate should be able to examine products for quality and readiness for the market to meet consumer expectations
