Flynn Canada Ltd. based in Surrey, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Glazier. Flynn Canada Ltd. was founded in 1978 focusing was on commercial roofing contraction. We recognized that the best way to serve our clients was by providing them with products and services for the entire building envelope. We branched out to provide a range of architectural products and roofing services, including metal paneling, contract glazing and curtain wall. We are known to provide satisfaction to our customers, that they don’t have to go to any one else after getting the best services from us. We hire foreign workers to fill labour or skill shortages on a temporary basis. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible. This position of Glazier is approved by LMIA.

Work site environment: Candidates should work in at heights and outdoors
Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates need experience of 3 years to less than 5 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads
- The candidate should be physically strong
- The candidate should be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidate should be able for bending, crouching, kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should have specialization on glass cutting equipment and techniques like computerized cutters and cut glass plate manually (straight cuts)
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to determine type of glass, frames and material required
- The candidate should be able to measure, mark and cut glass
- The candidate should be able to position and secure panes in frame
- The candidate should be able to assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products
- The candidate should be able to install door, window and other hardware
- The candidate should be able to instruct apprentices
- The candidate should be able to prepare shop drawings
- The candidate should be able to repair glass doors and other glass structures
- The candidate should be able to assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment
- The candidate should be able to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
- The candidate should be able to work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
- The candidate should be able to work from man-lift mobile equipment, cranes and other lifting equipment
