Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a Golf Management diploma program or equivalent
Experience: Candidates should have 1 to 2 years coaching/instructional experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be a minimum of 18 years of age
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess a Class “A” PGA of Canada Certification, OR be enrolled for completion in a PGM program or active apprenticeship
- The candidates should have fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations, and tournament operations
- The candidates should be a PGA of Canada member in good standing
- The candidates should submit or agree to a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
- The candidates should have exceptional customer service and communication skills
- The candidates should hold a valid “G2” class Ontario driver’s licence and have access to reliable transportation
- The candidates should have the ability to obtain a City of Brampton Vehicle Operator’s Permit
- The candidates should possess Smart Serve certification, or have the ability to obtain it within 1 month of the date of hire
- The candidates should have current Standard First Aid / CPR C from an accredited organization, or have the ability to obtain it within 1 month of the date of hire
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to plan, organize, and implement a high-quality golf program for all participants, ensuring their safety and well-being
- The candidates should be able to assist in managing all aspects of Golf Operations, conducting golf clinics, coordinating tournaments and events, and participating as Manager on Duty
- The candidates should be able to monitor staff and volunteer schedules, provide supervision and guidance to part-time staff, and enforce rules and regulations of the course
- The candidates should be able to lead the creation and execution of instructional golf programs, manage tee sheets, and provide excellent front-line customer service
- The candidates should be able to respond to emergencies, complete administrative duties, maintain a safe program space, and effectively resolve customer complaints
- The candidates should be able to assist customers with club fitting, stay informed about industry trends, and adhere to corporate policies, procedures, and safety standards
- The candidates should be able to be computer literate with experience in POS and attend meetings/training as required
- The candidates should be able to perform other duties as assigned
