Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel and MS Word
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Security Guard License
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work in dusty environments and handle all weather conditions
• The candidates should be comfortable working in noisy conditions and be prepared to work outdoors
• The candidates should have strong attention to detail and be able to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
• The candidates should be able to sit for extended periods, stand for extended periods, and walk regularly

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should have good judgement, be reliable, and be a team player
• The candidates should be punctual and have a positive attitude

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to investigate unlawful acts of employees or patrons and produce reports
• The candidates should be able to enforce regulations to maintain order, resolve conflicts, and monitor establishment activities
• The candidates should be able to patrol assigned areas and prevent and detect shoplifting and theft in retail establishments
• The candidates should be able to operate controls to open or close lock gates and keep track of shipments
• The candidates should be able to greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas, ensuring safety procedures are followed
