Pirouette Rhythmic Gymnastics Club based in Nepean, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Gymnastics coach. Pirouette Rhythmic Gymnastics Club is a dynamic hub for rhythmic gymnastics enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. Offering a range of programs from recreational classes to competitive training, Pirouette provides a supportive and inclusive environment for athletes to develop their skills, strength, and artistry in rhythmic gymnastics. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $27.50 hourly for 30 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time
Location: Nepean, ON
Shifts: Evening, Weekend
Transportation information: Own transportation, Willing to travel regularly, Willing to travel overnight, and Willing to travel internationally
Work setting: Gymnastics

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more 
Credentials: Level 2 Certificate in Coaching and Level 3 Certificate in Coaching
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable working in an air-conditioned environment and be non-smokers
  • The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and have good hand-eye coordination
  • The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be able to stand for extended periods when required

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate dependability, reliability, and accuracy in their work
  • The candidates should show initiative and organizational skills while upholding values and ethics
  • The candidates should collaborate effectively as team players, ensuring accuracy and reliability in their work

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to plan, develop, and implement training and practice sessions effectively to enhance athletes’ skills and performance and motivate athletes or teams for competitive events
  • The candidates should be able to participate in coaching clinic instruction to further develop their coaching skills and knowledge and analyze athletes’ performance to identify strengths and areas for improvement
  • The candidates should be able to observe and evaluate prospective athletes’ skills and performance to assess their suitability for the team or program, fostering a positive and competitive mindset
