Salary: $16.55 hourly for 30 to 30.5 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Evening, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Public transportation is available and Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Employer’s home, optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis and Work in employer’s/client’s home
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Target audience: Over 12 years
Credentials: CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, driver’s validity licence check, reference required, and vulnerable sector check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be aware that the work environment is non-smoking
- The candidates should be mindful that the work environment is scent-free
- The candidates should be accustomed to performing repetitive tasks as part of their responsibilities
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
- The candidates should show flexibility, adapting to changing circumstances and tasks, and take initiative, proactively contributing to the success of the team
- The candidates should exercise good judgment in decision-making and problem-solving, and be organized, maintaining a systematic approach to tasks
- The candidates should be reliable, consistently meeting commitments and expectations.
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents and shop for food and household supplies
- The candidates should be able to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, keep records of daily activities and health information, and maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- The candidates should be able to organize activities such as games and outings for children, prepare and serve nutritious meals, and supervise and care for children
- The candidates should be able to take children to and from school and to appointments, tend to the emotional well-being of children, and help children with homework
