Shifts: Evening, Morning
Work setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment. Work in employer’s/client’s home
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smoking
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be capable of handling weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate client focus, dependability, efficiency in interpersonal skills, initiative, and good judgment
- The candidates should be organized, demonstrate reliability, patience, and honesty
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, administer medications, and assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- The candidates should be able to assist in regular exercise, e.g., walking, launder clothing and household linens, and mend clothing and linens
- The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, plan therapeutic diets and menus, provide companionship, provide personal care, and prepare and serve nutritious meals
