Copper Hills Equestrian based in Kamloops, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Horse stable foreman/woman. Copper Hills Equestrian is a premier equestrian center dedicated to the art of horsemanship and the love of horses. We take pride in maintaining a state-of-the-art stable, providing spacious and comfortable accommodations for the horses in our care. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Job Description:

Salary: $20.00 hourly 20 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Part time
Location: 5504 Rodeo Drive, Kamloops, BC V1S 2A3
Shifts: Day, Morning, 07:00 to 18:00
Work setting: Staff accommodation available, Rural area

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’
Equipment and machinery experience: Tractor
Area of specialization: Horses
Own tools/equipment: Gloves

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be physically demanding
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to do other miscellaneous animal farming

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizen and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to feed inventory, handling animals
  • The candidates should be able to negotiate with clients for provision of services
  • The candidates should be able to ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
  • The candidates should be able to formulate feeding program
  • The candidates should be able to recognize and treat certain livestock health problems
  • The candidates should be able to maintain work records and logs, perform general farm duties
  • The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
