Salary: $4,165 monthly for 40 to 50 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Thunder Bay, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Morning
Work setting: Room and board provided, hotel, motel, resort

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be non-smoking
  • The candidates should have the ability to work independently and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should be capable of performing repetitive tasks and be proficient in handling heavy loads
  • The candidates should be physically capable of performing demanding tasks and have a strong attention to detail
  • The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • The candidates should be comfortable with sitting and walking
  • The candidates should be able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate punctuality and focus on client needs
  • The candidates should demonstrate dependability and possess efficient interpersonal skills
  • The candidates should exhibit excellent oral communication and demonstrate flexibility

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, and vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture
  • The candidates should be able to make beds, change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, and stock linen closets
  • The candidates should be able to clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, disinfect operating rooms and other areas, and clean and disinfect elevators
  • The candidates should be able to handle and report lost and found items, attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies or other items, and provide basic information on facilities
  • The candidates should be able to pick up debris, empty trash containers, and assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash windows, walls, and ceilings, and clean changing rooms and showers
  • The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns
