Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a high school diploma
Experience: Candidates should have previous housekeeping experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work independently with minimal supervision and can safely use chemical cleaning agents and equipment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have equivalent education and communicate well with internal and external customers to meet needs in a polite, courteous, and cooperative manner
- The candidates should demonstrate a high level of initiative for and commitment to completing housekeeping assignments efficiently and in a warm, friendly, and customer-service-oriented manner
- The candidates should have a passion for the healthcare sector and ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to thoroughly clean common areas including lobbies, hallways, and stairwells by sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning and sanitizing kitchens and bathrooms
- The candidates should be able to thoroughly clean vacant rooms to prepare for incoming residents
- The candidates should be able to collect refuse from residents’ rooms and dispose of this refuse in accordance with set procedures
- The candidates should be able to clean and restock the housekeeping cart and notify the Supervisor when supplies are low
- The candidates should be able to promote a safety culture by continuously working safely, including but not limited to identifying and reporting hazards, following safe work practices and procedures, wearing personal protective equipment, supporting others to work safely, and completing safety education
