Salary: $40.00 to $50.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 to 50 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime, On Call, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, Own vehicle, and Vehicle supplied by employer
Work setting: On-site customer service
Apprenticeship training: Level two apprenticeship training, Level three apprenticeship training, and Level four apprenticeship training
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Air conditioning and refrigeration systems: Rooftop (self-contained), Heat pump, Air motioning and circulation, Filtration, Built up (split system), Humidification and de-humidification system, and Ventilation, Cooling tower
Credentials: Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Certification, and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Red Seal Certificate
Security and safety: Bondable, Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in hot environments, cold or refrigerated environments, and comfortable working outdoors
- The candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks and capable of handling heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and perform bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail in their work and possess manual dexterity for various tasks

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to install and overhaul heating systems
- The candidates should be able to install refrigeration systems
- The candidates should be able to install ventilation, air handling, and air conditioning systems
- The candidates should be able to troubleshoot heating systems
- The candidates should be able to troubleshoot ventilation, air handling, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems
- The candidates should be able to assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components
- The candidates should be able to coach and instruct apprentices
- The candidates should be able to measure, cut, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment
- The candidates should be able to provide customer service
- The candidates should be able to start up systems and test for leaks using testing devices
- The candidates should be able to perform maintenance tasks such as recharging systems with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators, or calibrating systems.
- The candidates should be able to interpret gas codes
- The candidates should be able to install, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems
- The candidates should be able to handle, recover, and store refrigerants
- The candidates should be able to repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, or heat pump systems
