Salary: $30.00 to $50.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Mississauga, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Willing to travel and valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Machinery installation, various locations, maintenance, service, repair, overhaul, new construction, machine set-up, shopwork, food processing industry, and food processing plant
Welding techniques: Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG)
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Area of specialization: Start-up and testing, shutdown operations, renovating and restoring, rigging and handling, troubleshooting, bearing, seals and packing, stainless steel welding, and welding
Equipment and machinery experience: Conveyor, electrical and electronic controls, fans and blowers, high speed packaging equipment, hydraulic system, industrial and stationary engine, lathes and other machining tools, pneumatic system, power tools, power transmission system, pumps and compressors, tool grinders, welding equipment, forklift, and hand tools
Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in noisy environments
- The candidates should be able to work in physically demanding conditions, have attention to detail, and be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed
- The candidates should be available for overtime work, able to stand for extended periods, and work under pressure
- The candidates should be capable of handling weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess excellent oral communication skills and be team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assemble mechanical equipment and stationary industrial machinery, and detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions
- The candidates should be able to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements, and construct foundations for machinery
- The candidates should be able to repair or replace defective machinery parts, fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up, and perform routine maintenance work on machinery
- The candidates should be able to operate machining tools to fabricate parts, install machinery and equipment, and commission systems and components
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
