Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to handle physically demanding tasks, have attention to detail, and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate punctuality, dependability, efficiency in interpersonal skills, flexibility, interpersonal awareness, good judgment, and reliability
- The candidates should be a team player, demonstrate values and ethics, creativity, honesty, and have the ability to multitask
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, and lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
- The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, prepare snacks, and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
- The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems, prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors, submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors, and discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
- The candidates should be able to attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children and plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
