Salary: $35.15 hourly for 30 to 35 hours per week

Location: Chilliwack, BC
Transportation information: Public transportation is available
Supervision: 3-4 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to pay attention to detail

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be flexible and a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assess the children’s development in order to prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs, bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers, and encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
  • The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor, submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors, and attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
  • The candidates should be able to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, and plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
