Salary: $28.00 to $35.00 hourly (to be negotiated) 30 to 40 hours per week

Location: Ottawa, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, On Call, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Travel expenses paid by employer, Willing to travel
Work setting: Remote location, Various locations

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Counselling specialization: 
Academic program or credit evaluation
Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone, Internet access, Computer
Credentials: Provincial or Territorial Teaching Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to work in tight deadlines

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be accurate, client focus, dependable, organized, initiative, flexible, reliable, and judgmental
  • The candidates should have values and ethics, interpersonal awareness, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to consult and advise clients
  • The candidates should be able to advise students on course and academic matters and career decision
